Susie writes production music, music for chamber ensembles, and for education.
Recent album releases include Intense Stories for Motus Music, Heart-Wrenching Cello for Reliable Source Music (featured on Channel 4 Dispatches), Classical Cookery and Arthouse Strings for Handmade Sounds. Susie has contributed to trailer music albums Slaught and Shelter for Power-Haus.
A piece for solo flute (Lost Marbles) was selected by Scotland’s premier contemporary music group, the Red Note Ensemble. Appearing as part of Digital Noisy Nights 6, it was performed by Ruth Morley in June 2020.
A collaborative project in 2023 included improvising, composing and performing a piece for solo cello with Dance Elders, a contemporary dance company run by the ACE-funded Dancemind.
Concert performances include extracts of the City Suite by Trafalgar Sinfonia (dir. Ivor Setterfield) at St Martin in the Fields and by Watford Youth Strings (dir. Tom Hammond).
Hover for solo violin and strings was performed in 2019 by Lizzie Ball and Mikroorkéstra (Lithuania). This composition is also the soundtrack for a promotional video for Chenies Manor House, in a version for multi-tracked cello.
